FINANCING

GOAL: The federal government has taken measures to assist business in it's efforts to export U.S. product. In doing so, it has established agencies like the export -import bank that insure the purchasees of companies overseas and thus facilitates the transactions between countries.

THE PROGRAM: A Line of credit is established with each buyer who is issued an insurance policy by Ex-Im bank. The policy in turn is used as collateral with a local commercial bank who prticipates in the program.

The terms of payment are usually 90 days with very favorable rates of interest. Mid term financing (3-7 years) is also available through these services and finacing is provided on a case by case basis.
